Israeli airstrikes target the West Bank settlement of Jenin

Camp Jenin's entry date is June 27

A significant military operation has been launched by the Israeli army against the Jenin camp in the northern West Bank.

It began with numerous airstrikes. Social media videos showed smoke coming from a housing complex.

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, an Israeli plane's airstrike resulted in at least one Palestinian being killed and another receiving serious injuries.

The "terrorist infrastructure in the Jenin area" was being attacked, according to the Israel Defense Forces.

They added that Jenin Camp was a "terrorist stronghold" and said they would "not sit by while terrorists continue to harm civilians using it as a hideout.".

There were numerous armed and disguised Palestinians stationed in the camp's lanes.

"Columns of Israeli army vehicles penetrated the outskirts of the camp from several streets," camp resident Ahmed Zaki told the BBC.
