At a state memorial in her hometown of Melbourne, thousands of people paid their respects to the late Australian actress and singer Olivia Newton-John.
After a protracted battle with breast cancer, the 73-year-old passed away in the United States in August.
The most well-known works by Newton-John were the songs Physical and her portrayal of Sandy in the classic 1978 movie Grease.
Her daughter Chloe Lattanzi reportedly described her as having a "broken in two" heart.
While fighting back tears at the service at Hamer Hall, Ms. Lattanzi said, "I stand here before you so desperately wanting to feel strong and confident and speak eloquently but the truth is, I feel like a little girl lost without her mother.
"She was the ground beneath my feet, my safe haven, my mentor, and my biggest supporter. ".
John Easterling, Newton-John's widower, also broke down in tears as he spoke about his late wife.
We were simply discussing how fortunate we were to have found each other. "We'd each experienced some difficult times in our lives before, like everyone does," he said.
"With Olivia, every day was extraordinary. Olivia brought a little bit of magic to every day. ".
The singer Dannii Minogue claimed that Newton-John's death was still fresh in her mind and that it was because of her that she began performing.
In videos played to the crowd at the memorial, other celebrities paid tribute to the late star, including Sir Elton John, Mariah Carey, and Pink.
Dolly Parton, who performed with Newton-John several times, said she was both a friend and a fellow performer, while Sir Elton John called her a "wonderful force of nature.".
Parton said, "Olivia, to borrow a line from one of your songs, I honestly love you.
The service came to a close with a medley of songs by singer Delta Goodrem from Australia.
It was "incredibly special," according to Goodrem, to be able to commemorate her life.
