At the Oscars, Rihanna will perform Lift Me Up

The Super Bowl featured Rihanna

Rejoice, Rihanna Navy—the Barbadian singer will return after her appearance at the Super Bowl halftime show.

The biggest night in Hollywood, the Oscars, will feature a performance by the music icon of Lift Me Up.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's soundtrack included the song, which Tems, Ryan Coogler, and Ludwig Göransson collaborated on.

It is Rihanna's first nomination for an Oscar, for best original song.

Jimmy Kimmel will serve as the host of the 95th Academy Awards presentation on March 12.

Rihanna stunned Super Bowl viewers earlier this month with a soaring, solo half-time performance in which she made her second pregnancy with rapper A$AP Rocky public.

The 13-minute performance was eagerly anticipated by Rihanna's fans, many of whom hadn't seen her perform since she appeared on stage at the 2018 Grammy Awards with DJ Khaled to perform "Wild Thoughts.".

Rihanna has recently taken a break from music to concentrate on her business endeavors, including her Savage X Fenty lingerie line and Fenty Beauty cosmetics line.

Since the release of her previous album, ANTI, in 2016, Rihanna has only recorded one solo song, Lift Me Up.

When discussing her seven-year hiatus from music, Rihanna said she is at a point where she wants to explore creatively.

I'm feeling more open to exploring, learning about, and making new, unique, strange, and offbeat things. Before her Super Bowl performance, Rihanna said, "I want to have fun with music. It might never make sense to my fans.

Rihanna will join artists like Lady Gaga and Beyonce, who have both dazzled on the Academy Award stage as musical guests in recent years, by giving a performance at the Oscars.

Lady Gaga, who is up for her fourth nomination overall for Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, will compete against her for the best original song award with her song Lift Me Up.

Other contenders for best original song include M M Keeravaani and Chandrabose's Naatu Naatu from the Indian action movie RRR, Diane Warren's Applause from the movie Tell It Like a Woman, Ryan Lott, Mitski, and David Byrne's This Is A Life from the movie Everything Everywhere All At Once, and David Byrne's This Is A Life from the movie Tell It Like a Woman.

Nine Grammy Awards have been given to Rihanna. She has 14 singles that have peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and eight multi-platinum albums to her credit.
